“ Service was okay. However, Shanghai-style food was amazing here. Especially the pan fried juicy bun. It's super crispy outside, with a ton of soup inside. This is sort of the fried version of xiao-long bao. Their beef scallion pancake it's normal. Had other food here, but I think I would go back just for the pan fried bun. ”
“ Came here again because I was craving their Pan Fried Pork Soup Dumplings, they were still as good as before. The restaurant looks the same, kind of small and simple. This time around we had four people and was able to try more dishes. We had Braised Fish Tripe (fish belly because they ran out of fish tail), Shanghai Style Pork Belly Casserole, Pork Soup Dumplings, Dumplings with Pork, Chive, & Shrimp, Stir Fried On Choy with Garlic, and Scallion Oil Mixed Noodles. Everything tasted really good. I especially enjoyed the Shanghai Style Pork Belly Casserole and the Pan Fried Pork Soup Dumplings. The Braised Fish and Pork Soup Dumplings were also very well made. Service was okay, we had to ask for tea refills but the waitress was very nice and responded promptly with a smile. If I want good Pan Fried Soup Dumplings, this is still my number one choice. ”
“ Hidden gem in flushing! Such a great spot for shanghainese comfort food. The 生煎包s were some of the crispiest I've had in NYC. They were also super juicy! Beef noodle stew had great noodle texture, but just wished the stew and noodles had more flavor. ”

But shanghai eats is def bigger and juicier We got a wide range of dishes here and everything else was mediocre so I wouldn't really get anything else Price range here is def higher compared to others in the area because they give a smaller portion too Other dishes: - Pork soup dumplings 4.5/5: this was super yummy here!! - Crab meat soup dumplings 4/5 - mala beef 3.5/5 - taiwanese porkchop 2/5: super bland -double cook pork 3/5: also not much taste - mala wontons 2/5: skip this - super bland and too much veggies - wontons in soup 2.5/5 - beef stew noodle soup 3.5/5: I def had better but soup broth itself is not bad Service was kind of non existent here so don't have high expectations there - they would immediately take away dishes once you take the last thing on the plate without asking you if you're still working on it You will have a much better experience if you just get the pan fried buns ”
“ Wow I love this place. Not sure what the bad reviews are about. Their pan fried soup dumplings are soooo good!!! Service was great too, so friendly and nice! Also had their soup dumplings - they were pretty standard crab and pork ones. The crab rice (not on the menu but on the pictures on the wall!) is SOOOO GOOD!!!! The rice has crab juice in it already and they give you even MORE crab on the side to pour into it. I LOVED THIS. ”
“ Come for the sheng jian bao. That is all. ... A couple friends were in town and came from Philly specifically for these pan fried soup dumplings. We got 6 orders of the sheng jian bao and wow I almost wanted to order one more. The baos contain so much soup in each one. Super delicious and the sweetness and richness of the soup goes really well with a little bit of added vinegar. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I will say, the quality control of the baos vary. Some of the bottoms were barely crispy, while others were perfect. But at the end of the day, if you order multiple plates you will get mostly good quality baos. If only I lived closer, I would come here every week! ”
